Yoga anyone?

The wife of one of our bishopric members goes to yoga each week. She has talked about her instructor, Lucy, quite frequently when she gives lessons or is just chatting with us. I'll be the first to admit that I'm skeptical about yoga being a real workout or doing much good for your body other than stretching. But Joan claims that Lucy gives her workouts to remember. So Joan has arranged for some of us to take Saturday morning classes from Lucy for the next month.
We started today.
And I'm eating my words.
My body is sore.
We didn't even do the HARD workout.
And I think I quite enjoyed it.
Thanks, Joan! You were right, as usual!

The girls have enjoyed yoga on our Wii. They do a great job! So when you come to visit, you won't have to give up your workouts. :)

I told you that Wii yoga workout is fantastic! (or maybe I just told Meg) Either way - I hurt the first few times I did those moves! Half moon, sun salutation, cobra - it's a good workout!

I think this is great...I have always thought that yoga would be so relaxing...just didn't know if it would be possible for my body to contort to those positions...but hey....give me another year and who knows..

I love YOGA! I love the workout I get from a great Yoga class. I too was in your boat...stretching in a hot room, in weird positions can help me loose weight??? It is amazing and I sweat like a pig in those classes:) Glad you love it!

I'm sorry but I can't do the yoga thing. I think I can't be that quite for that long. I just want to laugh everytime I do it. Downward facing dog. So proud that you are doing it. I love to cause my pain through soccer.. I can barely walk today. My goodness.
