Sisters

I have some fairly amazing sisters. This is a recent shot of us at Emi's for Christmas Eve dinner. You can't tell we're related, can you? Our cute sister in law isn't with us because she's due to deliver niece number 6 any day now. That will bring my total of nieces and nephews to 12. :) I've requested she be named Ainsley Catherine lol as though I had any say in the matter. Anyway, back to my sisters.

They are all talented in their own right. Meg has a thirst for learning and knowledge that she has passed onto her children. They are all very well read and crave the library as much as we did when we were kids. She creates and inspires and tries new things. She eats vegetables she doesn't like and will keep trying them until she finds a way to cook them that works for her. She's simple and yet rich in so very many ways. Emi is the mom we all want to be. She's organized and talented. She keeps track of four active children at all times and can chastise with patience and learning. She bakes and cans and stores and creates for her home and family. One day I will be like both of them.

I love my sisters because of who they are and how they remember me. Its a hard call to know where to stay for holidays because I feel so loved and wanted at both places. It will be lovely to have them both here for a time. While I don't get to stay home and spend the day with them, I know that I can make the short drive at any time and find laughter and love and peace. I could not have asked for better sisters or friends. :)
