Wordfull Wednesday

My sister Meg does this thing about words on Wednesdays. I believe she got the idea or took the idea from another blogger, whom I don't know, but find her site very helpful. Anyway, the word for this Wednesday was wishes. She gives the definition on her site and then writes this beautiful description of her three wishes. Its delightful to read! I would recommend reading my wish list first, though, because her writing is so amazing you won't want to read mine afterwards! ;) So- thanks, Meg, for the idea of wishes and being fanciful!

1. My first wish would come in the form of a job. I DO love teaching, but I wish to be an interior decorator for the Church and decorate temples. Really and truly to be able to decorate the House of the Lord- what better way to spend a talent? To be able to travel the world over and find only the best of items to be placed in the most sacred of places. *sigh* I would find only the best and most delicate of items to grace those halls and rooms and pray, quite literally, that it was acceptable.

2. My second wish would be to travel to Wimbledon for the full two weeks. It would not rain so middle Sunday would be a day of rest. I would stay in a lovely hotel, not garish, but just about right and have a driver to take me to Centre Court every day where I would sit courtside and watch daily matches. Of course I would have strawberries and cream. I would have access to the club for meals and break times. The finals would be Federer and Roddick, at which point Roddick would win.

3. My third and final wish would be to find a pair of jeans that I loved and adored and looked amazing in and they never wore out. :) I hear women talk of jeans that they love and yet, just when I think I've found that pair, I wash them and they aren't that pair anymore. Perhaps its a matter of size on my part, but you never know. But wishing to look amazing in just one pair of jeans is definitely going to require the magic found in the definition of wish.
