Before and After

I finally got around to painting the spare bedroom upstairs. Its been really nice to be able to just take my time and find paint that I liked and then make a mess and walk away from it because I wasn't done painting and didn't have time to clean it up. My upstairs has pretty much looked like a war zone. And while the craftroom STILL needs a lot of work, my "guest" room is back to normal. Now I just need to lovesac from my sister and it will be just about right. For now. :)

This is the bedroom BEFORE I painted. Pretty intense, as you can see.

This is the bedroom after. The color is called Warm Custard. You can't see it very well but its very calm. I really like it. I was planning on doing some brown and orange horizontal stripes- sounds odd but was going to look really cool. But I've decided that I really like the plain-ness of it for now. So that's how it will stay. The two quilt blocks at the end are from each side of my family. The bottom one is made from flour sacks that my great grandmother dyed to make a wedding quilt for my grandparents, if I remember the story correctly... Meg?
